CHE Celebrates 50 Years as a College and 90 Years as a Discipline in 2011!

CHE shall be celebrating two milestones in 2011: its golden year as an institution and its 90th year as a discipline.  What makes 2011 more meaningful is that it coincides with the sesquicentennial or 150th birthday of Jose Rizal, the Philippine National Hero and the son of Teodora Alonso - the woman after whom CHE’s main building had been named.

In celebration of the CHE’s golden anniversary, the University of the Philippines Home Economics Alumni Association (UPHEAA) will also host a whole day affair which will feature CHE’s alumni in a series of activities to raise funds for its scholarship program. The event dubbed “Damayan! Streaming the UPCHE Alumni” will be held on September 28, 2011at the Philippine Trade and Training Center in Pasay City.
