CHE celebrates 50 years as a College and 90 years as a Discipline in 2011...
CHE shall be celebrating two milestones in 2011: its golden year as an institution and its 90th year as a discipline. What makes 2011 more meaningful is that it coincides with the sesquicentennial or 150th birthday of Jose Rizal, the Philippine National Hero and the son of Teodora Alonso - the woman after whom CHE’s main building has been named.
In anticipation of a year-long celebration of the momentous event, the CHE family consisting of the faculty, staff, students and alumni have joined hands in the brainstorming, designing and planning of programs and projects that would highlight CHE’s turning 50.
The journey of revisiting CHE’s past, reflecting on what it has become, rekindling old commitments and re-energizing kindred spirits in preparation for its future shall be the highlight of the celebration that CHE would like to share with everyone who has been a part of its existence and who shall be its future partners in enhancing the quality of day-to-day living of Filipino families and consumers and preparing them to face changes.
